Sacred Music in the Archdiocese of New York
There is a stong liturgical musical tradition in the Archdiocese of New York. Music has always been a part of the important celebrations of the Archdiocese, from papal visits to the installation of bishops. Training in liturgical music is deeply connected to priestly formation, and begins when students first enter the Seminary.
